Chaz Bono Shows Off Drastic Weight Loss, Steps Out Looking Slimmer Than Ever

Good for Chaz Bono.

Cher's 44-year-old son is looking better than ever—and must be feeling that way, too, as he apparently has not lost sight of his previously stated goal of losing 80 pounds.

A binder-toting Bono was photographed out yesterday in L.A. outside an actors workshop, casually dressed in shorts and a T-shirt that showed off muscled arms.

He told People in May that he was "feeling really good" after shedding 65 pounds, 15 short of his goal, and that was thinking that he'd like another shot at Dancing With the Stars.

"I'd do it so much better now than I did then," he said, obviously no longer worried about drawing comparisons to a penguin should he vie for the mirror-ball trophy ever again.

(He won't be making a return this season, as the brand-new cast was just announced this morning, but memo to producers if they do another all-star round.)

"Physically, my body feels just so much better," he also told the magazine. "I'm in a lot less discomfort when I exercise and am doing physical stuff. All of my numbers are all normal now, which is great—my blood pressure, my cholesterol.

"I just have a lot more confidence, and that feels really cool. I really like what I see in the mirror."

The camera's liking what it sees, too, Chaz.

Lady Gaga Steps Out Looking Like a Lady Gaga Baby Doll

We wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Lady Gaga released a collection of dolls in her out-there image.

The "Applause" singer is all about promoting her look, empowering young women, and making a buck or two in the process. So is this flirty, white dress the first in step in her attempt at an empire that rivals the American Girl doll? And if so, would you buy this for your baby niece?

We actually like the simple, cream fabric and mostly-covered design on this summer frock. Yes, it's now fall and yes, the "Swine" singer is way too old for this look, but we could actually see this on a mini, toy version of Gaga as she enjoys a pretend tea party.

Unfortunately we cannot envision those giant black boots, goth-dyed hair or strange Minnie Mouse style bow on any doll in a pretty pink bedroom. But maybe that's just the point: a 2.0 toy for the 2.0 child?

We're all for diversity, but to us this feels more like a 2.0 Halloween costume for a Gaga-obsessed teen.

School prep: Glad they're going back, not looking forward to waking them up

It wasn't a typical back-to-school shopping day for Bourbonnais' Tommy Maly.

That's because the 14-year-old Maternity BVM School graduate isn't preparing to go to a local high school.

Instead, Maly spent Sunday with his dad, Paul, at Target in Bradley shopping for supplies for his dorm room.

He's heading to Culver Military Academy, in northwest Indiana, on Wednesday.

"I'm nervous," Tommy said with a laugh.

Tommy and his dad picked up drawers for the dorm room, as well as snacks and laundry supplies, for the school about 85 miles due east of Bourbonnais.

"The campus is really, really cool because it's like right on a lake. And their academics are really good, and the athletics are good, too," said Tommy, who's hoping to play basketball.

Also making Tommy's situation unique is that he hasn't spoken to his roommate yet. He's not allowed to, so there's no communication about who will bring what.

Brick cops looking for man who tried to rob woman's purse at Target

BRICK — Police are looking for a person who tried to take a woman?s purse in the parking lot of the Target on Route 70.

The woman was approaching the passenger side of her friend?s vehicle around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday when an unknown subject attacked her by pulling her down from behind, Brick Police Sgt. Henry J. Drew said. The person pulled at her purse, but was unable to snag it after a fight from the woman and help from her friend.

The subject eventually fled toward a wooded area between Target and PC Richard & Sons, Drew said. Police couldn?t locate the person in a search.

The subject was described as male, of medium build, about 5-foot, 10-inches tall, and wearing a dark ski mask, long-sleeved black T-shirt, jeans, and white sneakers with a Nike logo.

The Brick Township Police are looking for anyone who may have seen something suspicious that evening. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Daniel Waleski in the Brick Township Police Detective Bureau at 732-262-1170.
