St. Anne's Jack Sikma, 7-time NBA All-Star, recognized during Seattle Seahawks game

Jack Sikma, perhaps the greatest athlete to call Kankakee County home, was honored over the weekend by the football team in the city where he spent the majority of his professional career.

A seven-time NBA All-Star with the Seattle SuperSonics, Sikma was recognized by the Seattle Seahawks before their win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.

At the game, Sikma raised the 12th Man flag, a marketing campaign to recognize the team's fan support, in front of more than 68,000 fans. He was then interviewed as part of the TV broadcast.

Wearing a Seahawks jersey and holding an umbrella — it's Seattle, after all — he answered a few questions about the Seahawks' fortunes this season (they're 3-0 now) and whether or not he'd like to see his team return to the Pacific Northwest.

The Sonics relocated to Oklahoma City after the 2007-08 season.
