KCC GED preparation class

Orientation for the next General Educational Development test preparation class at Kankakee Community College will be from 9 a.m.-noon each day on Monday, Aug. 12 and Tuesday, Aug. 13 in Room L307 at KCC, 100 College Dr., Kankakee.

Participants must attend both days. There is no fee for the orientation or the GED preparation course, which begins Monday, Aug. 19. The GED exam assesses academic skills and knowledge typically developed in a four-year high school education program. Passing the GED test is generally considered the equivalent of a high school diploma. KCC is south of downtown Kankakee near River Road, off U.S. 45-52, or north from Interstate 57 Exit 308 and follow the signs. Directions are at www.kcc.edu/directions/.
