Candy Crush Makes $850,000 Per Day! Admit It: How Much Have You Spent on the Game?

Anyone who has ever played Candy Crush knows that it's both the best and the worst thing to ever happen to you. The Facebook and iPhone game is basically Bejeweled meets Candy Land meets addiction. 

And it earns its makers millions in revenue.

Candy Crush is a "freemium" app, which means it's free to download, but users can purchase in-game upgrades for more moves, more lives, more levels, etc. Candy Crush has perfected the art of in-app purchases because you just have to keep playing.

Just last month, AppAdvice.com (H/T Buzzfeed) announced that Candy Crush developer King.com was making $633,000 per day, earning upwards of $230 million annually and making the app the #1 grosser in the App Store. But what about this month?

As the game celebrates its first birthday—it was released in September of 2012—the moolah keeps rolling in. Now, according to data at ThinkGaming.com, Candy Crush earns $850,000 per day (it's still the #1 grosser in the App Store and has held that top spot for month). 

That number seems huge—and it is—but considering nearly 7.7 million users are active every day (with hundreds of thousands of new users installing it daily), it comes out to about 11 cents per user.

But we all know some people are spending more than others (plus, you can't buy anything for 11 cents. The cheapest is $.99). Also, King has gone on record saying that 70 percent of users on the last level have never paid a cent. 

So who's spending all that money? It could be anyone. It could be you.

Duck Dynasty's Sadie Robertson Makes New York Fashion Week Debut—Catch Up With the Family Backstage!

Sadie Robertson is really just too cute—and chatting backstage with papa Willie Robertson and Uncle Si, we see where she gets her charm from.

The 16-year-old Duck Dynasty star made her New York Fashion Week debut on Monday, walking the runway at the Evening By Sherri Hill Spring 2014 show at Trump Tower.

Hill dressed the aspiring model in a black and white prom gown with a full-length, polka-dot skirt and a sleeveless sequined bodice topped off with sheer material.

Sadie admitted to E! News backstage before showtime that she was "a little nervous—but more excited than anything."

"I've done small [fashion-related] things in Louisiana, but this is New York Fashion Week," she said. "This is a whole new ball game!"

Indeed it was, and not just for her!

Sadie's great-uncle, Si Robertson, also told us backstage that this was definitely his first-ever fashion show—"and it'll probably be the last," he laughed.

And though Sadie's Sherri Hill prom dress will be the envy of any girl from any corner of the U.S., it had to get a very particular seal of approval before she could show it off in front of hundreds of people (and ultimately the entire Internet).

The dresses Sadie models are, of course, "daddy-approved," dad Willie assured us. "They have to make it once by me to make sure I give 'em the thumbs-up."

So, with that squared away, we now declare it open season on modeling offers for Sadie!

Barack Obama Makes Case for Syria Strike: Celebrities React

President Barack Obama addressed the nation on Tuesday, Sept. 10, to discuss the United States' potential military involvement in Syria. The commander-in-chief said that for now, the U.S. will not launch a strike against Syria while it works with Russia, China and other allies to force Bashar Assad's regime to hand over its chemical weapons.

Obama, 52, promised that he will not send American troops into Syria. He did, however, argue that a military strike would send a strong message to Assad. "The United States military doesn't do pinpricks," he explained. "Even a limited strike will send a message to Assad that no other nation can deliver."

Shortly after his speech, a handful of celebrities—ranging from an X Factor mentor to a pro football player—weighed in on Obama's tentative plans.
