Dakota Johnson Strips to Underwear on Movie Set After Fifty Shades of Grey Casting

Feeling cheeky! Two days after it was announced that Dakota Johnson will play Anastasia Steele in the big screen adaptation of author E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, the 23-year-old actress was photographed climbing out of a window while wearing polka dot underwear and a loose-fitting camisole on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Johnson isn't going method for her role in Fifty Shades of Grey, however. Instead, she was hard at work on the set of Cymbeline in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. A modern-day spin on Will.i.am Shakespeare's play, Cymbeline also stars Ethan Hawke, Milla Jovovich, Penn Badgley and Ed Harris.

Though Johnson's participation in Fifty Shades of Grey has been met with mixed reactions (an online petition asks that she be replaced by Alexis Bledel), the former Ben & Kate star has at least one Hollywood heavyweight in her corner: her mom, Melanie Griffith!

"My beautiful child Dakota has been chosen to play Anna Steele in 50 Shades!!! Look out world!" Griffith, 56, tweeted on Monday, Sept. 2. "Here she comes!!! #proudmama."

Fifty Shades of Grey's Dakota Johnson Dating Jordan Masterson

Sorry fellas, Dakota Johnson's taken.

It turns out that the 23-year-old actress, who will be portraying the very sexual Anastasia Steele in the upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey, has her own leading man at home and he goes by the name of Christian Grey Jordan Masterson.

Does the name sound familiar? It should.

Masterson is also an actor, best known for his role as Mark in the 2005 film The 40-Year-Old Virgin and his recurring role as Dumptruck in ABC Family comedy-drama series Greek. Plus, he's the half-brother to actors Danny and Chris Masterson.

Judging by the photos on Masterson's Instagram, the pair have been dating for nearly a year. But it doesn't seem like their world as a couple revolves around certain, um, activities like her onscreen character.

Instead, it looks as though Johnson and her beau have a laidback relationship that includes taking trips to Utah and spending time doing a crossword puzzle together.

Masterson and his sister Alanna, 25, grew up practicing Scientology. However, their father Joe Reachie, a Beirut-born former Australian rugby league player has reportedly not seen them for nine years after being ex-communicated by the church.

Jordan has not publicly given his two cents on his girlfriend landing the big role, but Alanna posted a sweet photo of the trio along with Chris Masterson and captioned it, "Everyone is so proud of you Dakota. Well, except for Chris."

Dakota Johnson Meets Fifty Shades of Grey Author E.L. James—See the Pic!

While Charlie Hunnam was busy promoting Sons of Anarchy‘s sixth season  in Hollywood over the weekend, his Fifty Shades of Grey costar Dakota Johnson spent Sunday, Sept. 8, bonding with author E.L. James and producer Dana Brunetti in New York City. The novelist shared a picture from their afternoon get-together via her official Twitter account.

"The beautiful, talented, funny as feck, Dakota Johnson," James captioned. "Oh and that bloke @danabrunetti." Johnson, 23, is currently in the Big Apple shooting Cymbeline.

Brunetti previously defended hiring Johnson and Hunnam to play Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the film adaptation of James' book trilogy. "There is a lot that goes into casting that isn't just looks. Talent, availability, their desire to do it, chemistry with other actor, etc.," he tweeted. "So if your favorite wasn't cast, then it is most likely due to something on that list. Keep that in mind while hating and keep perspective."
