DWI checkpoint planned in Keyport

KEYPORT — The Monmouth County DWI Task force will conduct a checkpoint late Friday to detect if drivers are under the influence of alcohol and or drugs tonight on Route 36.

The checkpoint will be run from 11 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday.

Task force members and officers from the Keyport Police Department will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes into the Stop & Shop parking lot to determine the driver?s sobriety, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, task force coordinator.
