Lamar Odom Checks Into Rehab Following DUI Arrest

Lamar Odom is getting help.

Khloé Kardashian Odom's husband of nearly four years has checked into rehab, less than a week after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, sources tell E! News.

Lamar was arrested at 3:54 a.m. on Friday after California Highway Patrol pulled him over for allegedly driving erratically while heading east on L.A.'s 101 Freeway. He was taken into custody and authorities later said that he refused to take a chemical sobriety test.

The 33-year-old NBA star was booked on misdemeanor charges of DUI and refusing to take a chemical test and released later that morning after posting bail.

A court date is scheduled for Sept. 27. Lamar is not compelled to appear alongside his attorney because the charges are misdemeanors.

"It only looks good for him to seek treatment," L.A. criminal defense attorney Troy Slaten, who is not involved with Lamar's case, told E! News last week, saying that he would recommend any client of his in the same situation to get help as soon as possible.

"It looks like you are addressing [the issue] before the court, before you are being forced to," Slaten said. "It looks good to do it on your own."

Lamar Odom's Basketball Future: Lakers Not Holding a Spot, but Those Who've Worked With Him "Love Him Very Much"

A question mark continues to hang over Lamar Odom's future in the NBA—and the L.A. Lakers won't be providing any answers at this time.

John Black, the team's VP of public relations, tells E! News that there is "no truth at all" to rumors that the Lakers are reserving a roster spot for Odom—or any other free agent—for the coming season.

Odom, who won two championship rings and a Sixth Man of the Year Award during his seven-season run with the Lakers, is currently a free agent. He was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011 and then was part of a four-player trade that landed him with the L.A. Clippers, the team he started his career with, for the 2012-13 season.

But while Khloé Kardashian Odom's husband won't be returning to the Lakers anytime soon, Black also said that those who've worked with Lamar "love him and care about him very much."

Los Angeles Times sports columnist Bill Dwyre made a case for Odom in the paper this week, after he was arrested on suspicion of DUI, arguing that the 33-year-old forward is known around the league as a good teammate and an all-around good guy—and is deserving of another chance to contribute to a team once his personal issues are sorted out.

"I understand he is going through a lot right now. It is never easy," former Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro, who coached Odom last season, told the Times. "He has always had some difficult obstacles and they weigh on him a lot. You feel bad, but you hope he is all right."

"Lamar can still play," Del Negro added. "It's not the basketball skills that are the problem. Once he gets himself in shape and gets his mind wrapped around basketball, he can help [a team]."

Odom was arrested early Friday morning and booked on charges of driving under the influence and refusing to take a chemical test, both misdemeanors. A court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 27.

Last night sources said that he had checked into a treatment facility.

A source told E! News early last week that reports of Khloé and Lamar being separated were not true and that the family was "focused on getting Lamar better."

The fact that Fitz is still going to be running for reelection in season three! Of course, that isn't such an easy task now that his affair has not only been outed, but confirmed. And yes, you can expect to see his opponents have a field day with the scandal. Well, not a field trip, more like a debate where the issue comes up. Awkward!

Trista: Bluebell me! I want to know what's coming up for Hart of Dixie in season three.
What a coincidence! We just hung up the phone with Bluebell's most sassy resident, the wonderful Jaime King, and she says that season three is going to really shake things up for our ladies in the love department. "I'm really excited for Hart of Dixie fans because we have a lot of new developments with the characters." King continues, "And we have great new guest stars! Robert Buckley, and Josh Cooke are really awesome actors that are coming on to play love interests and to throw some curve balls for Zoe and Lemon." Looks like there's a lot more man-candy moving to Bluebell! Are you as excited as we are? Answer: No. No you're not.

Don't be greedy, we'll just give you some Mindy Project scoop. It's a pretty standard rule that there shall not any horsing around on planes, because TSA has no patience for that nonsense. Too bad Mindy doesn't care about that rule and will find herself in hot water after flight attendants find her "threatening". We're talking the type of hot water that puts you in handcuffs. Plus, Mindy-Danny shippers will be bummed to know that he will get asked out by a really hot woman quicker than you can say "gyno" in that same episode.

This new guy will be smooth-talking, likeable and an all-around good guy. He'll probably rub someone the wrong way, but you don't want to go to blows with him. The new dude will be in shape and ready and willing to throw a punch or two.

We'd call you creepy, but we bet the rest of America is thinking the same thing. We do know that there will be an episode involving Amber's character and three of her girlfriends going out partying. Whether that will lead into a more-than-friends situation is not quite clear, but at the very least we'll see a drunk girl fall down?

Ashton: The League just added season four on Netflix, and I burned through half of the season. Gotta know if the beautiful Kristin Cavallari will be in season five?
As a matter of fact, Mark Duplass just told us that her husband Jay Cutler will be popping up in the new season, but his lovely wife probably will not be joining him. Unless there's another breast milk debacle on the horizon. Isn't the Chicago Bears quarterback what you really want when you watch this show? No? Well, count on other NFL stars to appear as well. Hint: a Defensive MVP and a kicker will be in the premier episode.

Shania: I know you guys love Workaholics as much as I do, so what do you got on the new season?
Can you imagine hiring one of the guys to entertain at a child's birthday party? It will happen in episode five of the new season, and we're both excited and terrified to see how it goes.

Khloé Kardashian Odom snapped another selfie Thursday, but this time her loyal makeup artist Joyce Bonelli joined in on the fun.

The 29-year-old captioned the glam pic, "My spirit animal right huuuuuur #BigHairDontCare"

The brunette beauty posed with what appears to be an oversize tube of lipstick while Joyce was in the background giving her best pouting face.

The youngest of the Kardashian sisters' curly mane looked perfectly tousled, with just a hint of bedhead.

This is the first we've heard (or seen) of the E! reality star since it was revealed that her basketball hubby, Lamar Odom, had checked himself into rehab.

And the selfies seem to be a growing habit.

Just last week, hours after Odom was arrested for a DUI in Los Angeles, she posted a similar pic of herself posing for the cameras.

Khloé captioned the pic with an emoji of lips but didn't divulge anything else.

She's been fairly quiet recently, as the rumor mill continues to buzz about a possible split from her husband of four years.

However, when the news first broke, a source close to the situation told E! News that the media speculation is simply not true.

Robin Thicke Talks Love for Wife Paula Patton: "I Don't Know If I Would Still Be Alive" Without Her

Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton are opening up about their love life.

In the new issue of Prestige magazine, the "Blurred Lines" singer and 37-year-old actress, who've been making lots of headlines recently, are gushing about being there for each other, especially during tough moments in their professional lives.

"I don't know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn't for Paula," Thicke tells the mag. "She's been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her. The whole way."

"I've been there for his down moments and he's been there for mine," Patton added. "Life is full of peaks and valleys. Robin has always been a great person to remind me to celebrate now. Even when it looks like I've got a role but don't know for sure, he's like, 'Let's celebrate!'"

Thick says welcoming their 3-year-old son, Julian, changed his life "in every single way."

"My son is my good-luck charm; he's made me not think about myself all day long," he dished. "All of a sudden he shows up with his beautiful smile and perfect energy and makes me go, 'Ah, forget my little problems.' He's an amazing child."

As for how the gorgeous couples spends time alone together? Patton said, "Talking to each other. We watch movies. Just sit and contemplate—we have a house with a bit of a view. Listening to music. Talking about what's going on in our lives. We're best friends."

Congratulations are in order for the lovely Scarlett Johannson and her handsome French journalist fiancé Romain Dauric, and she's got the incredible diamond ring to prove it!

The actress flaunted her sparkly token of affection on her ring finger at the Venice Film Festival while promoting her latest film, Under the Skin, and we couldn't take our eyes off that rock!
