Pros and Cons of being sick this weekend+

Friday I ended up at the dr for something unrelated and she found the start of an upper respiratory infection, which jumped into full swing pretty soon after and into today (I felt good enough to work but not actually at work).

These might seem whiny but here we go:

Cons

I’m leaving for a long weekend in Chicago on Thursday and I’m not convinced the antibiotics are working. If I’m even a little bit sick, plane rides will turn it on x10000 so hopefully whatever bud I have left will be nipped by thenMy wireless doesn’t work any longer. So a long weekend of Sister Wives marathons and football were the best options. So I was so bored. I am so over reality TV and actually have good shows to watch on Netflix but not if it’s wireless!Related: I was chained to my couch to work today due to the 5 foot long cord length of the internet cableTwo of my co-workers called in sick today. They also happened to be the two in an office I walked into to talk to them about 20 minutes before I was diagnosed with the respiratory thing. Sorry guys!

Pros

Having to miss work on Friday and Monday works out the best possible solutions to any stress outs at work. After heading to the dr, I stopped at the store and pharmacy, got home and literally 30 secs after I got in the door, a downpour of rain started and didn’t let up for HOURS.A downpour of rain was happening while I took a napThe leak of a book proposal and other related things from my favorite reblogged “blogger” happened while I had time to actually hate read themI ended up seeing my General Practitioner for the first time (only had seen her PA) and I think I’m in love with her. She took the time to really sit with me and talk with me even though I was an addition into her schedule and she was so reassuring about pregnancy over 35, she had her first kids (twins at 37) and her sister just had her first baby at 39. How have I avoided her for so long?!
