Friends of Kaelynn Fay discuss their dance tribute video

A dance studio was the site for grieving friends of Kaelynn Fay, the 18-year-old Limestone woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle on July 18.

Eight friends of the Bishop McNamara Catholic High School graduate came together Sunday to create a video tribute through modern dance. The 3-minute, 31-second project was edited and posted Monday on YouTube. Within 18 hours, it registered more than 1,000 views.

"This was just our way of coping with the loss of a friend," said Lauren LeBeau, the dance choreographer and a friend of the Fay family. "We knew that other friends had written poems. Others involved cheerleading and singing. And we chose dance."

The dancers met at the Paul Aubry Dance Studio in Bradley with high school videographer Bailey Testerman, who volunteered to shoot and edit the project.

"I tried to shoot from different angles ... down on the floor and up on a ladder.
